Schon wieder hat sich die Lebensmittelindustrie was ausgedacht und will es auch noch gleich als BIO vermarkten. CMS-Saatgut (Cytoplasmatische Männliche Sterilität), das ist eine Hybrid-Züchtung, bei der artfremde Zellen miteinander verschmolzen werden. Dies betrifft Blumenkohl, Möhren, Zwiebeln, Melonen usw. Die Pflanzen können sich nicht mehr selbst bestäuben, liefern jedoch höhere Erträge. So wird CMS auch als Gentechnik light bezeichnet, daher ist der Aufschrei der Biohersteller nur verständlich. Da bei dieser Technik kein Nachbau seitens der Bauern möglich ist, könnten sie zudem direkt in die Abhängigkeit von Zuchtunternehmen rutschen (na, das ist ja mal eine Überraschung!). Was sagt die EU-Öko-Verordnung dazu? Dieser Passus wird leider nicht geregelt!!! (noch eine Überraschung). Doch alle guten Biohersteller haben in ihren Richtlinien ein Verbot für ihre Waren geregelt, das ist doch mal was.
